Homemade PEPPERMINT HOT CHOCOLATE GIFTS ~ 1/2 way done! ~

Monday, December 12, 2011

After I got finished with the SUGAR SCRUBS I cleaned up.. took a little break and then got started on the

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Gifts

I didn't take picture by picture. I mean it was pretty simple..

Layer first 7 ingredients in a 1 quart jar

Ingredients

1 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup powdered milk

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup miniature marshmallow

10 small peppermint sticks, chopped about 1/4 cup

1 Peppermint for garnish

That's just what I did..

Remember the recipe above is for 1 gift only. I doubled the recipe and did it for 7 jars.. 1 jar got broke and I still need to replace it.

Now I know these look a little plain but they won't be by time I am finished!

It didn't take long to do. I tapped the jar on the table after every layer so it would be even for the next layer.

This is how they will be if you follow the recipe.. I think its cute with the peppermint mixing with the marshmallows but another way to do it is

what I think is the neater look. The peppermint before the chocolate chips is a clean look for this..I kinda like it better and wish all of them looked this way!

I am done for the night but in the coming days I will have everything with these and the sugar scrubs done!!

Yea!!

I will take finished pictures when I'm done!

Here is the label..

You can find out more about these and the other labels right HERE.

Also if you want to see an easy way on chopping up the candy canes, you can also click RIGHT HERE. I found that unwrapping them was a little challenging but it was pretty easy to chop them up!

Have any of you started making any gifts!? I would love to know.. Email me!
