Thursday, November 19, 2015

Hello friends! I hope your evening is going well. I am back sharing a video that I hope many of you find helpful. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought I would share some tips on saving money and time over this big holiday. Hope you enjoy!

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, January 22, 2015
Good morning friends. I hope you are getting a good start to this Thursday morning. I hate mornings and being we slept in a hotel last night, I didn't sleep well and feeling kinda grumpy but....

I am thankful/grateful for:

♥ for making it to Louisiana without any problems. The car rode great, Scott drove safe and all 3 of us arrived to the hotel safe and sound.

♥ that my son did great on such a long car ride. It was hard for all of us but Jackson did great.

♥ for having a housesitter I actually trust. She is super kind and helps a lot with our house and animals.

♥ advil....I had a headache all day long and I think the advil kept it from turning into a migraine. Yea, perfect day for that to happen.

♥ for Jackson passing all his classes this past semester. He barely passed some, but it's better than him failing. I just wish I could get him to like school more.

♥ that I have some of the most amazing subscribers and followers. I am not just saying it.. I sincerely mean it. You guys have been so kind to me. I couldn't be more grateful and I hope you really know that.

♥ Scott made me my cup of coffee this morning. You guys have no idea how hard it is on me to be up at this hour right now. But I am grateful, I am still breathing and still here. So no complaining.

♥ we get to see Zane this morning. I am not sure how things are going to go but I am thankful we can at least see him today.

♥ my touchpad on my laptop started working again. I swear this computer has a crazy mind of it's own.

♥ that before the sun rises tomorrow we will be back home. I'm a homebody.

♥ somehow someway, I was able to sleep through Scotts snoring last night. It was like I was sleeping next to a grizzly bear.

♥ for the wonderful support system of amazing women I have. My mom, sister, sister in law, and best friend are such strength for me. God gave me exactly who I would need to get through this life.

♥ for the slightly warmer days. I really need sunshine.

♥ that the hotel bed was super comfy even though I didn't want to get up this morning!

Thanks for stopping by this morning. I hope you have a beautiful day. I will try to post a video before we take back off for home. We'll see! Happy Thursday.

Kitty Cat or Fruit? Vlogidays DITL Vlog November 27, 2014

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. We are back with Vlogidays...where I vlog everyday from now until New Years. For over 6 months, I vlogged every day last year and while that was fun, I grew tired of sharing so much. From that point I just continued to vlog a little each week and combined them in a Week in Review. However, we are starting a new season, and Vlogidays are here! These videos were suppose to go up on my main vlogging channel but I have been having so much trouble with that channel that they are all going up on my main youtube channel. From now until the end of December, I will probably be posting double videos. There is no other way, except starting a new channel and I don't see the point in that. Most of my subscribers are on my main channel anyway so it only makes sense. Also these videos are going to go live a day after just to give me time to edit.

Here is Wednesday November 26, 2014 Day in the Life Vlog.. hope you enjoy!

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving day! I am vlogging though Thanksgiving so stay tuned. Have a beautiful and blessed day with your family and friends.

Two Easy & Delicous Thanksgiving Desserts | Mini Pumpkin Pies & Rolo Pretzel Delights | Video

Saturday, November 22, 2014

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great night! I am back with not 1 but 2 easy Thanksgiving desserts that anyone can make! I am first going to show you how to make some very cute mini pumpkin pies that would work great if you are hosting a dinner or even if you are just bringing a dessert as a hostess gift. I am also showing you how to make some yummy rolo bites that are always always a hit! Everything you need to know is in the video and the recipes for both are below!

Thanks for watching. If you have any questions be sure to let me know.. Here are the recipes

Mini Pumpkin Pies

INGREDIENTS:

Frozen Mini Tart Shells ( these can vary in size...get as many as you need)
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons homemade pumpkin pie spice
1 large egg
1 cup pure pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 5-ounce can evaporated milk (small can)

Whipped cream or Cool Whip, optional garnish

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl with an electric hand mixer, combine sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, egg, pumpkin, vanilla, and evaporated milk. Beat until well combined and smooth.

3. Put mini tart shells on baking sheet. Fill each tart evenly.

4. Carefully transfer pan to preheated oven and bake for 15-25 minutes ( If it is a larger tart like mine, it will take a little longer. )  or until shells are golden and the filling appears to be set. Carefully remove mini pumpkin pies to a cooling rack.

5. If desired, top with freshly whipped cream or Cool Whip.

Rolo Pretzel Delights

INGREDIENTS:

1 Small pretzels - Get the kind at the checkout lane or you will have to unroll each one yourself.
1 ROLO Chewy Caramels in Milk Chocolate
1 Pecan halves

DIRECTIONS:

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or foil.

2. Place one pretzel for each pretzel treat desired on prepared sheet.

3. Top each pretzel with one unwrapped ROLO Chewy Caramel in Milk Chocolate.

4. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until caramel piece begins to soften, but not melt.

5. Remove from oven; top with either pecan half or additional pretzel.

6. Cool completely. You can always put these in the freezer for 25 minutes or so to help them set up.

I used a simple mason jar to store the little treats and used Erin Condren label just to make it cute. :)

I'll be back with another Thanksgiving dessert in the coming days! I think anyone can make these desserts even with the littlest cooking experience. Happy Thanksgiving!
