Week in Review w/ DITL Vlog! August 31 - September 7, 2015

Monday, September 7, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. However this week, I am only sharing one vlog. Hope you enjoy!

This past week:

I kinda feel that this past week, my online mojo slowed down. I wasn't feeling well for the beginning of the week. I even made a Dr. Appointment for Monday. Nothing big happened but I did get a new Epi Pen so hopefully I won't die from all the bees around. With all the fairs and such going on right now they seem to be out more and I am just over trying to cure myself. It just won't work. Also while at the Dr. Office my car got hit in the parking lot. It was an elderly man who just didn't see me. It wasn't that bad so I ended up getting back in the car and heading to the dealership instead of calling the police. It made the day longer than expected for sure.

The rest of the week, I really didn't feel that good. I felt like I might have caught something while at the Dr. but I felt kinda ill since Monday's appointment. Tuesday I stayed in my pjs most of the day and lounged around the house. Scott had to work so I wasn't in a hurry to do anything. The same goes for Wednesday and Thursday too. Actually by Wednesday I was back in y busy planner and tried making up for all the time I had wasted laying around. Actually Wednesday night I went walking around the neighborhood with a neighbor friend just to get in some extra steps and exercise.

By the time the weekend showed up I was feeling a little better. Friday I stayed busy around the house trying to get things cleaned up around the house. I didn't really feel like going out and our house needed a little work. By time Saturday rolled around, I wanted to get out and enjoy some sunshine. Jackson and I loaded up Cooper and took off to a local state park. We hiked and let the dog swim and just enjoyed the beautiful day. We got back home in the late evening and Scott ended up taking us out to dinner for a burger and some family time. Jackson got himself into trouble on Saturday morning with his online choices and we really wanted to make sure he knew we loved him and we were not really punishing him except for the internet. We headed into...

It was actually a pretty fun bright place. They had games and they also had a ice cream and cookie bar. I had never been there before but found the food delicious and we had nice time.

On Sunday, we all kinda slept in but I decided that it would be fun to go back to the state park with Scott and find another trail to go walk. It was pretty warm here yesterday so we waited till later in the afternoon to go.

See how pretty it was back there on that trail. It went on for almost 7 miles but at the 2 mile mark and turned around and came back. I am just not ready for 2 miles of hiking mostly uphill. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to do it but it wasn't yesterday. After 4 miles uphill, down hill, through the woods...I was wore out and tired. My legs felt like jello but I know it was good for us. There wasn't much water on that trail for Cooper to play in but we ended up going back to the same spot where he swam on Saturday and just let him cut loose. He had such a fun time.

Splish Splash...and the end result was a muddy smelly dog. :) But he was happy! I don't think life gets better for a golden retriever than some water and a stick. We made it back home right as the sun was setting and we all were in our beds by 9:30pm. That hike wore us all out. It was next to impossible for me to get the vlog saved and the uploaded started before I fell to sleep but thankfully the tv woke up me up and I got it uploading before anyone in the house was out of the bed this morning. :)

Here's a few things that I want to get done this week:

:: Sign Scott up for more classes that he has to take for a personal matter.
:: Menu plan and grocery shop...a job I have been putting off.
:: Pre Buy the new Cinderella movie. I can't wait to see it!
:: Weekly Cleaning....TODAY!
:: Start figuring out a gift for my sisters birthday at the end of the month.
:: Whiten teeth...something I hate hate hate doing.
:: Prepare Jackson's new white board.
:: Clean up files on computer.
:: Continue morning walks/run on the treadmill.
:: Clean out frig.
:: Water plants
:: Order some new books.
:: Get Lauras heavy box to the Post office Tuesday when Scott can help get it in.
:: Find more items around the house to purge and get rid of. Goodbye clutter!
:: Fill up bird feeders
:: Dust all the blinds through out the house.
:: Brush out Cooper
:: Answer Comments
:: Make planner time and figure out what the week ahead holds.
:: Drink more water....and less soft drinks.
:: Figure out some family fun for next weekend.

Here's some inspiration to take with you along the week:

I have been running behind today. Seriously behind because of the phone calls. But who cares...I still have many hours before Scott will be home and I have a helper today so we should be able to knock things out pretty fast. I hope you guys have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by! xx
