Wednesday Hodgepodge!

Happy Wednesday Friends! I know its the first of the year but its time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy!

1. Times Square is the setting for the infamous ball drop signaling a brand new year....when did you last 'drop the ball' on something?

Gosh. I feel like I drop the ball on things everyday. Sometimes I fall behind on spending time with the kids...playing and all. Other times I fall behind with the cleaning of this big ass house.. and thats going on right now! I would probably fall behind on much more if it wasn't for the daily to do lists and my planner. :)

2. What is one thing you resolved to do in 2013 that you actually did?

Ummmm... none. I didn't really make resolutions last year. I just wanted to learn my life lessons the first time and try to be a better person all the way around but I'm still a work in progress. 

3. Jack London is quoted as saying, "You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club." Agree or disagree? Why? 

I agree. I don't think you need to sit around and wait on anything. Time isn't promised so just go do what you want to do and I am sure you will find all the inspiration you need along the way!

4. What was the best thing you ate in 2013?

What a great question! I'm just not sure the answer. This past summer I had a peach that tasted as good as it smelled. It was truly divine and I savored every bite! 

5.  Share an anti-resolution...that is, something you plan to keep on doing in the new year.
Making videos and blogging hoping to meet many new friends! I love talking with you guys and I love it documenting our lives.. so I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

6. The Pantone color of the year for 2014 is radiant orchid.  Like or no like? Would I find this color anywhere in your home or wardrobe? Will you add something in this shade to either?

Yes, we have shades of this color upstairs in a couple of the bedrooms. I love purple... its more of a spiritual color that is suppose to be calming. I love it.

I am really happy be be through with the holidays. We spend Christmas down south with our family and friends. We had a wonderful time.

I am happy though to be home.. through New Years and ready for things to calm down. I am ready for a normal routine again and even kinda dreaming of spring! I love the idea of a huge fresh start. For all of us, a new year brings a new chance to do things better in every way. Happy New Year!
