I know its getting later in the night but I still wanted to get this review up! I recently watched this movie and thought it would be great to review being I thought I would hate it when I saw the previews.
Here's what the movie is about.
In the off-beat action comedy "The Family," a mafia boss and his family are relocated to a sleepy town in France under the witness protection program after snitching on the mob. Despite the best efforts of Agent Stansfield (Tommy Lee Jones) to keep them in line, Fred Manzoni (Robert DeNiro), his wife Maggie (Michelle Pfeiffer) and their children Belle (Dianna Agron) and Warren (John D'Leo) can't help but revert to old habits and blow their cover by handling their problems the "family" way, enabling their former mafia cronies to track them down. Chaos ensues as old scores are settled in the unlikeliest of settings in this darkly funny film by Luc Besson (Taken, Transporter). (c) Relativity Media
Scott and I sat back to watch this movie and I was shocked at how much we laughed through it. I found it kinda goofy at parts but over all, it was pretty funny. Robert DeNiro and Michelle Pfeiffer were amazing together. I loved their chemistry. I have been loving a lot of Robert DeNiro's movies here lately. I love him being funny and charming. And Michele Pfeiffer is so cute.. I love her in this movie. The kids were ok.. I grew to like them. We truly had a bunch of laughs watching this movie! The story line is so so but the actors pull it off really good.
Here's the trailer...
I am giving this movie
because it was better than I expected. It was a great movie for a cold night in. I recommend it to everyone. The cast pulls off this silly violence kind of movie. And I think Robert DeNiro and Michele Pfeiffer do a great job bringing this movie along. I don't think its going to win any awards or anything but it is pretty entertaining.
Have a great night!
