Hello friends. Sorry for the lateness of this Monday Makeup Post but everything has happened late for me today! I thought tonight I would go over my thoughts on the new Loreal Voluminous Butterfly Effect Mascara that has recently hit the drugstore shelves. Here is my video review and there are many more photos and information below!
Loreal Voluminous Lash Out Butterfly Effects Mascara, $8.99, CVS
This mascara has a asymmetrical wing tip brush that is suppose to lift every lash where it arches to lift the lashes up at the outer corner. The formula is infused with cocoon like fibers that coat the lashes with a soft veil with up to 6x the volume with a " fluttery " effect.

The brush is raised to help give a extra lift to the outside of the lashes. But I am right handed so it works awesome when doing my right eye, but when I switch to do the lashes on my left eye it can feel a bit awkward the way you have to flip your hand and wrist.
Over all for me, I think the formula is a bit wet... however I didn't have any problems with smudging. It also works great to lengthen lashes but not so well with adding volume. It sadly left my lashes feeling long and thin. So I use this in addition to another volumizing mascara of choice. I have pretty thick lashes so its was kinda strange to see them so long and thin. But even though its not as volumizing as it says, its still a nice mascara. I also think its possible for it to apply different after it dries out a bit.
If your thing is length, this will work perfect for you. I like length and volume both so I probably won't be buying this again. This mascara didn't flake or smudge on me at all. It comes easily with a makeup remover towelette. I don't feel like I have to tug to remove it which I really like. I don't really hate this mascara, I just think there are better ones that are available at the drugstore. Let me know if you have tried this and agree with my thoughts. I'd love to hear from you!
