Wednesday Hodgepodge Linkup!

Hello lovely Readers! This is the first time I am linking up Joyce over at From This Side of The Pond for this fun weekly linkup! 

So here we go! 

1.  What is one thing or area in your home or life you hope to report is completely organized when 2013 draws to a close?  Do you have a plan to make it happen?

 

I hope by the time 2013 ends we are all settled and organized in our new Florida home. I can't just pick one area because we will be making a huge move..so I am hoping the entire house is put together and in order by then end of the year.. Really by the end of the winter!  

2.  What's the worst uniform you've ever had to wear for a job?

 Honest to God.. I can't think of one bad uniform! I normally worked in offices so I wore my own clothes most of the time!

3. What was your last kitchen 'mishap'?  This question comes to you courtesy of Betty who blogs over at A Glimpse into Midlife...everyone go say hi to Betty!

Well that would have to be cleaning the oven with a cookie tray on the bottom rack. It was pushed back far.. I didn't see it and it looked like it had been burnt to hell and back but once it had cooled down and I washed it.. it was super clean and shinny! Guess the oven helped! 

4.  How do you protect yourself against other people's negativity?

Its not easy trying to keep other peoples drama and negativity out of your life. For me.. I use to have a sign that said.. 

 You are responsible for the energy you bring into this house. 

But my husband thought it was a little much! For me that also means just not answering the phone sometimes too. I just do my best to shield myself as much a possible. That's all any of us can do. And if I do get involved somehow.. I try to shake it off pretty fast so I can go on without carrying other peoples bad vibes around with me. 

5.  Who in your family do you most resemble (physically)?  If you have children, who do people say they favor?  Do you agree?

Wow.. I would have to say I look more like my dad than my mom.. but there are parts of both of them that ended up on me! Most people say both my kids look like me. Brittany looks most like me and Jackson has my eyes. 

6.  January 8th is National Bubble Bath Day...will you be celebrating?

Being I am posting this tonight and its the 9th of January.. I did not even know.. How could someone who loves baths as much as I do.. didn't know this!? Well.. I took my normal bath last night but skipped the bubbles and went for a calming milk bath instead! 

7.  Some of the 'world's best winter festivals' are...Mardi Gras (New Orleans), Quebec Winter Festival (Canada), Sundance Film Festival (Park City Utah), Rio Carnivale (Brazil), Sapporo Snow Festival (Japan), Venice Carnival (Italy), and the Harbin Ice Festival (Northern China).  Of those listed (and if cost were not a factor) which would you most like to attend and why?

 

The Venice Festival for sure! I mean its Italy .. yes please!

I really can't stand watching basketball and my husband just put it on. I think its the sound of the squeaky shoes.. IDK.. but if he don't change it soon.. I am heading another room! =)
