All over the blogger community its becoming pretty common to do a yearly word in that sums up your goals for the following year. I thought about my word..for a while now.. and this year its a very simple answer.
change
We have a lot coming up this year. So here is my plans/goals to implement the change I want in my life with my husband and my family.
Everyone knows that I am ready to move..
So how are we going to make this big move from North Carolina to Florida.. Well, I have a plan.. here it is..
{ One }
Create a Mission Wall that will contain everything in one spot containing our
Operation Florida Move
information. I think if our goals are visible..we will take action faster! I will be working on that in the coming weeks and will blog/vlog on my progress too!
{ Two }
Find suitable Florida employment for my husband. Update my husbands Resume and start sending it out to dealerships in the area we want to leave. Also mail a copy directly to the dealership.. and Yes, I will do it for him. This is something I can do from the comfort of my own home to jump start the process.
{ Three }
Start Decluttering the house. Since we will be making a huge move.. getting the biggest moving truck ever with a trailer to haul the Jaguar on..( Don't wan to put miles on the car ).. it would be better to get rid of all the crap laying around here and in the garage that we don't use.
{ Four }
Figure out what is going on with Brandon. I think he is going into the air force. We need to get him in whatever direction he needs to go before we move.
{ Five }
Start looking for housing. We are lucky that we have family there so if we had to.. we could stay with them for a couple of weeks but I don't know what we would do with our stuff until we moved out.. but something could be arranged.
{ Six }
Look into schools. I am not sure if Jackson is heading back to his dads for the next school year ( I hope not! ) or if Brittany or Zane is coming for the school year. My ex husband and I might just switch out the kids! But we need to figure out what schools they would be moving to.. So its best to figure out where the best schools in the area are.. which will also maybe help us pick where we live.
{ Seven }
Save as much big money as we can. I have another plan for the financial. But it shouldn't be too hard to save enough to move. Plus Scott's step mom offered to help out with the moving truck ( which is really expensive ) just to get us down there faster.. and I might have to accept that help!
{ Eight }
Pack! Once we get the job situation figured out for my husband I will immediately start the packing process. We have a lot of stuff.. and its going to be a big change because I want to downsize. So we need to start to learn to live with less stuff. Last time we moved.. we had over 200 boxes.. I kid you not.. and I am hoping to get rid of a lot of that stuff we don't really use anymore!
{ Nine }
Make the long ride with all the kids and animals to our new state! At that point I hope to be moving into our own house that we had already secured. I am hoping that maybe Scott can go down for a couple weeks by himself and get working.. and get the house. Maybe we can all go down if its a weekend. If plans don't pan out.. we can change and stay with family for a few weeks and maybe rent a storage unit or store in the the garage some how.
{ Ten }
Get moved in.. settled down.. and enjoy our new start in the sunshine state! I am wanting a house with a pool.. the kids will love it. Scott and I will love it too! I plan on getting us all settled in.. enjoy the summer with the kids and then maybe start looking for a part time job doing something easy and fun!
I am planning..planning..planning.. this move because I really want it to happen! With such a move.. there are going to be a ton of C--H-A-N-G-E-S..some planned.. some not. and its something each one of us is just going to have to adapt to. I am excited for what the changes will bring. I think it will be a better way of life for us!
And I will be taking you guys along with me every step of the way!
What is your word for 2013?
Happy Thursday!
