Favorite Cookbook Link up!

Hello! Today I am linking up with Carole's Chatter to share my favorite cookbooks. I went to Culinary School ( actually it seems like a 100 years ago ) but since then.. I have always been on the hunt for another great cookbook!

Here are some of my favorites..

1. Secrets from the White House Kitchens by John R Hanny. This book is an amazing book that has recipes from Martha Washington's crab soup.. to the Roosevelt family.. all the way to the Kennedys recipes and it even goes as far as some of President Obama's recipes.. Very good cookbook!

2. Who doesn't love cupcakes?? Cupcake Heaven by Susannah Blake shows you how to make some cute, colorful and tasty cupcakes. Its great for families with children!

3. I love soup.. and this book - 300 Sensational Soups by Carla Snyder & Meredith Deeds - is such a great fall / winter cookbook. The book also contains chilled soups for summer along with toppings and garnishes for each. I have made a ton of the soups from this book and they are always a hit with my family!

4. The mother of all cookbooks! Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child and Simone Beck is one of the best most comperhenisve French Cookbooks ever. Seriously.. the detail and work that went into writing this book is nothing short of amazing. I think EVERY COOK should have this book.. Even if you don't think you like French food.. ( I personally don't know anyone who doesn't oooh and gooo over French Sauces and rich foods! ) you should still get it because there is so much great information packed in this book. Amazing.. Amazing.. Amazing..

5. This is another one of my top cookbooks that I go to.. The Amish Cook at Home goes by seasons. Its such pure, simple yet delicious recipes. I really use this book a ton. I love the stories are with most recipes and I love the wonderful pictures in this book. The food is all such good fresh farm grown recipes. This is a BIG BIG FAVORITE OF MINE!

6. Again.. the master herself with Mastering the Art of French Cooking Volume 2 by Julia Child and Simone Beck. I use this one a lot too and I personally think getting both volume one and two would be a great Christmas present for any cook! These are books are timeless.. and I love them both!

7. I love love Italian food. I am French but I have always felt Italian! =) This book by Giada De Laurentiis - Giada's Kitchen - New Italian Favorites has 100 recipes focusing on fresh ingredients, simple preparation and bright flavors.. And this book does not disappoint! And all the recipes in this book are great weekday meals!

8. Another master cookbook. The Culinary Institute of America Cookbook by the school and students is a terrific book full of 375 recipes for the home chef. This book also contains many tips and preparation techniques from the classrooms to help navigate your through the recipes. I love this book and its stained up because of how much I have used it!

9. Last but not least is this cookbook I got from my mom.. The London Cookbook! This book contains not only recipes but stories and history about London. The photography is amazing in this cookbook and I read it just as I would any other book!

I love cookbooks and I have a HUGE collection of them. ( and now I have to haul all 9 of these back to the bookshelf! ) I made the mistake many years ago of loaning out 2 of my favorite cookbooks and never got them back. Since then, I have never loaned out a cookbook since. I will make a copy of a particular recipe for someone but I refuse to let my beloved cookbooks go missing again!

What a fun link up!

Have a great Wednesday!
