A couple weeks ago I picked up this

Revlon Manicure Essentials Kit

- If you want to see the haul from when I got this you can click here -

I have had my nails done for me an extremely long time. But for almost 2 months now.. they have been off and I have been working on making my nails look healthy which is not an easy job. The acrylics have done a ton of bad damage to my nail beds and it will take a long time to get them strong and looking good again!

But this has helped!!

This Revlon Maicure set is perfect for on the go..

It comes with 4 expert tools..

Compact Emeryl file shapes and smoothes nails quickly.

Buffer creates a high gloss shine. Gentle enough to use everyday.

Nail Clip with curved blades safely trims nails.

And last but not least...

Dual–ended Cuticle Trimmer pushes back cuticles and keeps them neat.

How to use:
  • First soak hands in warm, soapy water to prepare.
  • To trim nails: Clip from each side of the nail towards the center. Do not cut below the nail line.
  • To shape nails: Start with Emeryl file's shaping side to shape nails. Follow with finishing side to smooth and shape. Always file in one direction to prevent splitting.
  • To trim cuticles: Push cuticles back with contoured end of cuticle trimmer, then glide metal end (with V–tip facing up) along cuticle edge.
  • To buff nails: Remove all nail enamel before buffing. With the white surface, buff vigorously across the nail until stains and ridges are removed. Using the grey side, finish nails to a brilliant shine.
Ok.. we all know how to use most of these items but the one 1 item that I really want to talk about in this kit is the

Dual ended cuticle trimmer. One thing I never realized with acrylic nails is my cuticles. At the nail shop when I would go in for my fill ins they would NEVER push back the cuticles.. NEVER. I never knew how thick and rough my own cuticles were. I was shocked when I really started using this tool. First off the cuticle is the protective seal between the nail itself and the skin. But a lot of people have really thick rough cuticles and a cuticle trimmer could really be the answer. It also helps nails look longer..espechally for me with short nail beds ( like me ).  This also works for hangnails too. If you use this tool a lot you could get an infection so use it only when needed. And you should also be using some cream, lotion, or oil to soften the cuticles before trimming. I took this tool right into the bath with me and the hot water did a great job of making my cuticles soft enough to trim up. This is dual ended so it works great to not only trim the cuticles but push them back too!

All these - handy - tools fit great in the

Deluxe separated Nylon Carrying Case which rolls up

is just larger than my hand. This fits really well into my purse and now I take it every where!

Final Thoughts..

I love this kit!

Its economical in price.. it was only $ 7.99 which is great for all the tools and travel bag. The quality of the tools is super dooper good!!! It has lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects ( But only vaid in only the US and Canada ).  I have used everyone of these tools and love them all. Revlon did a great job with this  kit and I couldn't be happier! =))) I haven't found anything that I don't love about this nail kit!

Have you tried this kit yet? Have you tried any others that you love? I would love to hear from you!!!
