Very happy to report to you all that I am blogging straight from my own comfy living room right now! We made it home!! It was such a long trip but we got home about an hour ago. It feels great to be home.. But I have kinda a funny story to tell you...
Before we left, I made all the beds before we left. I just thought it would be better to come home to freshly changed sheets and blankets. I walk up stairs after we get home.. and every bed is a mess. I about freaked out. Scott said - maybe you just thought you made the beds - WHAT!? I freaking remember putting fresh sheets on 4 beds Friday. I thought someone had been upstairs.. and I didn't think it was the housesitter. He doesn't go upstairs ever. No need. I thought someone else was looking for something.. I didn't know what to make of it. I searched the house..I wasn't one bit happy about it either. Finally Jackson said.. Zane and I might have messed up 2 of them.. but not 4. I knew right then who was in our beds!! They were really tore up...and they had to do it in the last hour we were here. I can't believe I didn't notice. I did everything I needed to do upstairs and didn't go back up to check things before we left. Totally stupid on my part with the kids here. I assumed things would be the way I put them and that sure didn't happen. I seriously felt like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. What a dumb mom moment, not going upstairs to check the house before we left. Won't make that mistake again! The housesitter came back after we got home.. and he was shocked about the beds too..
Scott drove most of the way down there and I did a little driving back. I slept a lot this morning in the car.. and woke up about lunch time. I can't tell you how draining that ride is. I think we need to start flying him back and forth!! Jackson did really well on the car ride. Hes outside playing with a couple friends right now. Scott wanted to play some evening golf with a couple guys from work so he won't be back for a couple of hours. I am so happy the be around the kittys. I worry about them a lot when I am gone.. and they all, including Cooper are so happy when we walk into the door!
I think I am going to take a long hot shower and rest up. I have to clean up the house tomorrow because sometime tomorrow night mom and Brittany will be here. Its funny how we are always rotating people through our house! =) It is a fun place to be!!
