I know they are not new to the market.. However, I got these with a coupon a few weeks ago and want to share with you my thoughts with you on this 4th of July! I think now is the perfect time to get this review up because its summer time.. and lip balm is great for hot days!

I got these lip balms at my local grocery store.. They have a HUGE display and I was trying to figure out what I would get with my coupon...After hearing all the raves about these, I decided to go ahead and get
3 shades to try out. ( The line has 6 shades total )

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm, $6.99 each.

I picked out..

Honeysuckle
Tiger Lily
Red Dahlia

What I love about these are they were 100% NATURAL.

What the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms DON’T contain: phthalates, parabens and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Ingredients..

These are  cruelty-free and were developed without being tested on animals.

The packaging on these is wayyyy over done. It is misleading because one would probably think they are getting more than what they actually are..

But these are the same size as regular Burts Bees Balms

Here are the colors I picked out.

These are all pretty shear shades. I tried to get a range from light, to neutral, and dark to see how well they show up.

And as you can see they

are very shear. I have heard they are very similar Laura Mercier HydraTint - $20 each -. I don't have any, so I can't compare them myself but I think they are pretty similar from other friends say.

So I have been wearing these daily for over a week now, and I have to admit that I love them. I think they are a great for both summer and winter.. even though they don't contain SPF. They are so moisturizing and one of the most buttery smooth balms I have ever tried. The shades are pretty but to me.. just a little light. but I don't really care about that. I don't always want a lipstick or gloss on and these give a little bit of color but keeps my lips moisturized and soft. I like to apply these a lot throughout the day an night. I always put a heavy coat on before bed so when I am sleeping, my lips are getting conditioned. Since the color is a minimum I don't worry about it coming off on my pillow case. ( And of course, I don't use the darker shade - Red Dahlia - at bed! ) The colors are going to be different on different skin tones. But you can line your lips with a line similar in color and then apply this to your lips to make it show up more. And you can also add a few coats to get better color payoff. These do not have that minty taste and tingle of the other Burt's Bee Balms ( which are about $2 cheaper ). I find they are slightly sweet which I really like more.

So I am giving these a

B+

I would have gave them a A+ if they would have had SPF. If you do worry about SPF and your lips then you might want to apply a SPF to your lips first. Its not a huge concern for me but I know for a few of you it is. I do use SPF but I am not out in the sun that much and I find regular balms work just fine for me.
