Whooh... today has been a tough cleaning day....laundry, laundry, and more laundry. I have to admit, I have been a bit lazy with the laundry..letting clothes, mostly clean pile up in baskets and never get it put away fully. Well, been working hard on it all damn day and I am happy to say that most of it is done hanging up or put up where it goes.
I have and still been cleaning up the rest of the house too. I just got finished dusting and vacuuming the living room and just a few minutes ago, I finished mopping the kitchen floor. I know a lot of people hate Mondays but I always look forward to them for a day to get the house back in order after a weekend. I really don't like to clean on weekends. I prefer to spend that time with my family. Sometimes I clean on Sundays but not too often. Believe me, by time every Monday rolls around here, the house always needs cleaned!
I am happy that my last load of laundry is hanging out to dry... its so much nicer to dry it outside and not run the dryer. It keeps the house cooler and saves on the electric bill. Love that. In this big house we have 2 air conditioners and 2 heating systems since the house is so big.. and that's costly. I am really wanting to cut down on the monthly bills and hanging out laundry does help you save. I do turn the bright colored clothes inside out when outside so the sun doesn't fade them out too badly. And I can put 1 load out and within an hr or so that load is dry. Then its folded and the next load is brought outside. The system works out pretty good!
I got some gardening emails that I want to go ahead and address now for everyone. I am seriously running behind with the gardening. I am hoping to catch up.. being I am behind, I won't be able to start a lot of plants and veggies by seed. Instead, I will be buying many already started.
I did get some basil the other day and got it planted..
It smells soooo good.
I found this really sweet little
kitty cat planter at the Dollar General and I had to have it. I think I will have to get more of these because they are so cute.. and cheap! It was only $3. The basil was $2 and I already had the potting mix. So yea.. sad start to gardening but.. its a start non the least!!
Well break time is almost over.. I have 2 bathrooms to quickly clean and then start dinner. I am going to leave my room and bathroom until tomorrow.. today I have concentrated on everything else. I figure if husby takes tomorrow off, I can work upstairs if he is busy laying around the living room.
Well tonight is that big game. Husby sure hopes Kentucky wins.. and for him, so do I!! However, I think I am more interested with Dancing with the Stars instead.
Well.. time to get busy before time runs out on me.. break time is over!
