Whats on the Menu - Beef & Noodles -

Thursday, March 22, 2012

Last night dinner was a meal that I had a lot growing up. My grandmother Watteau would make this meal a lot for us. It feeds a big big crowd.. and super easy to make. She would make it a little more from scratch but I like to have a little help from the store to make it faster!

Beef Tips with Noodles, Mashed potatoes, and green beans and fruit.

First thing I did was peel potatoes, got them on the stove and also got the water for the egg noodles going too. Green beans went into a bowl with a little butter and sugar and went into the microwave.

First thing, I got the sirloin all rinsed off and patted dry.

I heated up a couple tablespoons of olive oil and added the steak.

I seasoned it up with Chicago Steak Seasoning

Garlic powder and salt and pepper.

Once the meat was browned up, I removed it to a plate and started

the brown gravy. I spent an entire semester in college on sauces and that includes gravy's. But there is no way I need to do all that work. These little gravy packets are life savers.

I followed the instructions, waited for the it to thicken up and then

I added the meat right into the gavy.. and then I added the

the cooked noodles in.

In less than 20 minutes, dinner was

on the table!

The beef and noodles were really good.

And every time I fix it, I take a trip down memory lane!

Another great easy fast meal!

=)
