Terrific Tuesday Tips!!

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

So with all these pretty days.. its time for all of us to get our homes really cleaned. I think spring cleaning is all about getting things laundered, cleaned, brightened from the cold winter months while everything has been closed up. Now if you live in a warm state all the time, spring cleaning is still a good way to keep things going.

I have received a lot of emails about spring cleaning.. and I have answered most of them, but this post and many more Tuesday Tips Posts are going to be on just

I think getting these list and post up on here on Tuesday's will work well because it will give you plenty of time to read through it, and then figure out what day in your week would be best to do it. I know a lot of you guys work and have a limited amount of time. I think everything I am going to be posting are things you are going to keep up with. If not, work at your own pace and your house will still thank you!

When we set our clocks is up a good time to start! Since that just happened..today's tips are going to be about spring cleaning. Now this post might be a bit long, but I want to lay out my plan in full for you guys and then week by week, I am going to be blogging about each area we are cleaning. So lets get started!

=)

First, I think every day you should already be picking up the house even if its just for a few minutes. If you cook, the kitchen should be cleaned nightly, and I always think your kitchen floor should be swept nightly too. So I am basing this off the idea that most peoples homes are already kinda picked up. If not, take some time and do a quick run over of your house.

For Spring Cleaning, I like to break it down by rooms. But before I get into all that, lets talk about clutter. I am sure you know what I am talking about.. those areas in your house that gets a lot of clutter such as a counter top, coffee table, etc.. Clutter has to be removed to be able to spring clean. My desk gets a lot of clutter.. so does my bathroom counter. So those areas need to be addressed before really do any spring cleaning.

I personally think taking only 15 minutes each evening before bed to clean up those cluttered areas. Its a small thing to do and it really does work.

So, how about tonight.. try it. Stop after 15 minutes. What ever you get done in that time, is good enough.

So after the house is some what picked up and clutter free

(  Again, I am making this just a information post.. next Tuesday we will start from the beginning with picking the house up and starting to declutter )

Area 1: Entrance/front porch/dining room

Area 2 :Kitchen/ back porch/laundry room/pantry

Area 3: Main bathroom/extra bedroom/kids’ rooms/craft room

Area 4: Master bedroom/bath/closet

Area 5: Living room/den/TV room

Now for my house its a bit more.

We have 3 full bathrooms here, we have the study on the first floor, we have huge closets, and lots of problem areas. So my list always seems a little longer with each bigger house we move into. This house is by far the largest house we have ever lived in. We love it.. but its work to keep it all maintained. Remember if you miss out on a Tuesday post, just jump in where you are.

I think this will be a fun way for us to come together. I am hoping to hear from a lot of you ladies who are going to follow along! Guys too..( if there are any men readers! ) I think I will have to do a few other posts besides just on Tuesdays. I will link every extra post to the Tuesdays household tips posts. I am also thinking it might be fun for me to do some before and after videos too. You guys can always do the same and leave the video response on my Youtube Channel.

For this week, until next Tuesday..

All I want you guys to do is..

I just want you to get your homes looking pretty good this week so next week we can really start cleaning!

Drop me a line an let me know how you are doing!
