So tonight husby and Michael went to see a friend who was in the hospital. I went to the market while they were gone and came home and started dinner. Well, I got this crazy phone call from Scott. He was panting and all out of breath and told me he was in the woods.. that on the way home from the hospital when Michael spotted Giovanni. My heart started racing when they told me that.
I should start off with..
A couple of months ago Givoanni was outside with Cooper. They both went missing for a couple days.. Cooper came home, and the kitty never did. At first I was really upset but after a few weeks.. I figured that he was gone..and I always looked for him but I kinda felt like I would never see him again. If you know anything about me, about my life, about this blog.. then you know that I am 10000% a kitty cat person. Really, I am wayyy past being a cat person. I have such a love, passion and dedication for all things feline.
So anyway.. the guys came home empited handed. No Giovanni but they both were excited to tell me that they saw him. They stopped in the middle of traffic.. I guess they had their hazard lights on and waving traffic around when a police officer came up and asked what was going on... Of course, Michael told him that Scott had spotted his cat, stopped the car and ran into the woods. The officer asked if there was anything he could do to help.. They asked him for his flash light and he gave it up.
Scott said he would yell Giovanni's name.. get a few feet away from him and then he would dash off. I guess they kept this up for a while. But eventually he got further away and husby got tired.
First off.. I am super super happy that my Giovanni is still alive and roaming around like he loves. I hate him not being home but atleast at this point, he is ok..
Second.. Those 2 guys who spotted my cat, held up traffic, enlisted the help of the police and chased Giovanni through the woods.. are 2 of the greatest guys I know. I am so thankful for them. They didn't bring him home but they sure tried and that makes me proud. I knew I had the right husband when I saw that he loved my cats as much as I do. Michael, has been a great friend to us and has pretty much helped us everytime we have needed him to. He is also our housesitter and has took care of all the animals many times. And tonight when he spotted Giovanni first.. he didn't need me screaming or asking for him to help.. he just did it. That alone makes me super proud to call him my friend. I love those boys.. I really do.
Since now that we know the area he is in, tomorrow and every day there after.. we will be searching for that kitty of mine and hopefully bringing him home. I am going to make some flyer's either tonight or tomorrow and put them up around that area too. I think he might have been out in the woods and streets for a couple months now, that he might just be hard to catch. But that won't stop me from trying.. and I am betting it won't stop those men from helping too.
Thank you guys. You both made me very proud tonight.. and knowing that Givoanni is right around the corner and doing ok.. makes me smile!
The search continues.
