Sleep Time Tea REVIEW!!

Saturday, December 17, 2011
This tea review is wayyyy over due! I am on my 4th box of this because I am in love with it..

Let get started!!

A month or so ago, my mom got on a sleepy time tea " high " of sorts. She kept telling me how she was drinking this tea every night and that it would really knock her out. So after listening to her for a couple weeks.. I decided to try it. I take sleep meds nightly and I had big doubts that this tea would do nothing for me but still wanted to try it anyway.

Here it is.. Its made by Celestial Seasonings.

20 bags per box

As you can see the ingredients actually sound pretty good huh?

The box is loaded with information..

This is how it looks when you open the box

packaged very neatly

and here is the teabag. As they explained.. they use a pillow bag style to help protect the environment. They do not have strings, tags ,staples, or individual wrappers.

You can see the tea.. Also before I had my first cup of this tea, I thought it smelled really strong. I almost wouldn't fix it because the smell just so strong.

But..

I brewed this just as stated.

I love when adding water to the tea bags.

Pour fresh boiled water over 1 teabag

Steep 4 to 6 minutes

- and remove teabag.

And enjoy..

and boy did I enjoy it. I did add sugar to it. not a ton but I like it super sweet!

This tea has one of the best flavors ever. I didn't take my sleep meds the first night I drank this.. and just as I thought.. it didn't just knock me out! But what I can say is that.. it really does make you more relaxed.

Celestial Seasonings describes this tea as

Sleepytime’s beloved blend is of floral chamomile, cool spearmint and lively lemongrass. With its comforting aroma and perfectly balanced flavor, Sleepytime is an exquisitely soothing new way for you to wind down your day.

“Sleepytime's comforting aroma and perfectly balanced flavor are achieved by blending soothing herbal ingredients from around the world – including floral Egyptian chamomile, cool spearmint from the Pacific Northwest, and lively Guatemalan lemongrass. This global synergy is only fitting, since all over the world, generations of tea lovers have wound down their day with Sleepytime."
—Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster

I really did find it calming.. and I heard that its just as good as a cold tea. I might have to try it cold and if its any good make it for Christmas tea!!!
