Movie Review - Jane Eyre

Sunday, August 7, 2011

I will try my best not to make this too long but I have a lot to say about this movie and a few comments about the book itself that the movie is based on!

I will first start with the movie.

Jane Eyre is a deliciously dark romantic/drama, staying true to the spirit of Brontë sisters. Jane Eyre is yet another adaptation of the famous novel (Jane Eyre), written by Charlotte Brontë.

The story begins with the child hood of Jane Eyre. While it is a depressing part of the movie it shows where she has came from. She ends up taking a job as a governess to a French little girl where she meets and falls in love with Mr. Rochester. A big secrets comes out making her flea the life and the man she loved. She returns to the family that had once gave her shelter. And from there.. you have to watch the rest of the movie to figure it out.

I had to read this book in high school and I loved it so much. Honestly, I haven't thought of it since until the I saw that the movie was out.
I think that the book was better of course because the movie did not include everything that the book did.. I know.. it never does.

I think Mia Wasikowska did a great job. I loved how they stayed true to the time.  Michael Fassbender’s part as Mr. Rochester was brilliant. He was so beautiful and moving.

So if you like a romantic movie this is a good one. It has a lot of drama but in the end it will make you wanting more. I never want the story to end. I want it to keep going on.. and I guess that's where all of our imaginations come into it at..

This movie was great.. The book was great.. and its another story of hope, love, and forgiveness.

Watch it!!!

Here is the trailer!
