Wedding Week Continues!!!!

Thursday, April 28, 2011
With everyone anticipating what Kate Middleton is going to be wearing tomorrow I thought it would be fun to show some dresses from past Royals!! Most British Royals pick British designers to make their dresses.. who knows if she is in fact using a British designer! I cant wait to see it!!

Diana, Princess of Wales

Lady Diana chose David and Elizabeth Emmanuel for her controversial but iconic wedding dress.

Princess Elizabeth: the frugal bride

When she married Prince Phillip at Westminster Abbey in 1947, then-Princess Elizabeth saved up ration cards in order to purchase the material for her beautiful wedding dress. Made of ivory duchesse satin, the dress was decorated with 10,000 white seed pearls, silver thread, sparkling crystal and transparent appliqué tulle embroidery.

Princess Margaret of Great Britain

In May 1960, Princess Margaret wed Anthony Armstrong-Jones at Buckingham Palace. For the occasion, Margaret wore a silk dress signed by Norman Hartnell, who had also designed special gowns for her sister, including Queen Elizabeth's coronation gown and her wedding dress

The Princess Royal (Princess Anne of Great Britain)

Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands

Princess Grace of Monaco

It was a wedding straight out of a fairy-tale: American actress Grace Kelly married Price Rainier of Monaco in Monte Carlo in 1956. For the occasion, Kelly wore a gown designed by Helen Rose, who dressed her in the films High Society and The Swan.

Grace Kelly went from Hollywood princess to real-life princess in a fairy-tale gown by MGM costume designer Helen Rose, which many have considered to be the most beautiful royal wedding dress of all time.

Camilla Parker-Bowles' change of dress

Prince Charles' low-key marriage to his longtime mistress Camilla Parker-Bowles was not the fairy-tale wedding of 1981, when Charles married Lady Di. Parker-Bowles dressed appropriately for the modest ceremony, selecting an oyster silk basket-weave coat over a chiffon dress and a wide-brimmed straw hat trimmed with feathers.

Princess Victoria's off-the-shoulder stunner

In the largest royal wedding since Charles and Diana's lavish 1981 nuptials, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden married her former personal trainer Daniel Westling this summer. For her wedding at Stockholm Cathedral, the blushing bride looked fittingly regal, dressed in a custom-made ivory silk off-the-shoulder gown by Swedish designer Par Engshed.

Princess Maxima of the Netherlands

Valentino designed Princess Maxima of Netherlands' wedding dress.

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

Valentino also created the gown for Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

And of course I had to add a little bit our our " Royalty " .

Jackie Kennedy's Intricate Gown

For her 1953 marriage to John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Bouvier wore a stunning ivory silk wedding gown. The dress required 50 yards of ivory silk taffeta and featured a portrait neckline and bouffant skirt decorated with interwoven bands of tucking and tiny wax flowers.

What fun it is to look at all those beautiful dresses!! Cant wait till 6 am so I can see that dress she is going to be wearing!!
