LAST NIGHT WAS A PASTA NIGHT! SO WE ENJOYED:

SPICY CITRUS SHRIMP PASTA SERVED WITH SALAD AND GARLIC BREAD


THIS IS A PRE MADE DINNER OF SORTS..BUT ITS A GOOD ONE!!

THIS ONE HAS NO ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, NO ARTIFICIAL PRESERVATIVES, AND THE PASTA IS 100 % WHOLE GRAIN PASTA.



FOR THE PASTA I AM USING THIS GOOD EARTH KIT THAT CONTAINS



THE WHOLE WHEAT PASTA, THE SPICY SHRIMP SAUCE, THE WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR TO DUST THE SHRIMP WITH AND THE TOPPING FOR THE FINISHED MEAL..


ITS 1 LB OF SHRIMP PER BOX...I MADE DOUBLE SO THIS IS 2 LB OF CLEANED AND DEVAINED SHRIMP..I BOUGHT FROZEN SHRIMP AND THAWED THEM OUT BY RUNNING COLD WATER OVER THEM UNTIL THEY WERE THAWED..

BE SURE TO DRY THEM OFF WITH A PAPER TOWEL AFTER THEY ARE THAWED OUT..



THEN TAKE THE FLOUR AND PUT IT ON A PLATE.



THEN DREDGE THE SHRIMP IN IT THE FLOUR..



IN THE MEAN TIME YOU NEED TO GET YOUR WATER BOILING AND DROP YOUR PASTA..




THEN TAKE A FEW TABLESPOONS OF OIL..



ONCE THE OIL IS HOT ADD YOUR SHRIMP AND COOK ABOUT 3 MIN ON EACH SIDE..


GARLIC BREAD WENT IN OVEN TO WARM..



SHRIMP COOKING AWAY..



DRAIN THE PASTA..


ADD THE SAUCE TO THE SHRIMP..



COOK FOR ANOTHER 2 MINUTES..



ADD THE PASTA AND THE TOPPING..

AND..



DINNER WAS SERVED..


SORRY ABOUT NO GOOD PICTURES OF MY PLATE..IT WAS A LATE DINNER AND I WAS IN A HURRY TO EAT..

I SERVED THIS WITH GARLIC BREAD AND A CESAR SALAD...

IT WAS QUICK AND SUPER SUPER GOOD!

AFTER DINNER I HAD A YUMMY COCKTAIL..


PRETTY SIMPLE INDGREDIENTS..
SOME PREMADE SANGRIA AND A FRESH ORANGE..


I LIKED THE IDEA OF THE FOUR BOTTLES..THAT WAY, I CAN MAKE ONE GLASS AT A TIME..

ADDED THE WINE AND ORANGE SLICES AND SQUEEZED THE REMAINING ORANGE JUICE IN THE WINE...ALSO ADDED TABLESPOON OF SIMPLE SYRUP TO SWEETEN IT UP A BIT...


LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES IN THE FRIG..

LET IT SIT THERE..



THEN IT WAS COCKTAIL TIME AND AMERICAN IDOL!
