WHATS ON THE MENU...

MY GRAND MOTHER WOULD ALWAYS MAKE THIS CASSEROLE AFTER BAKING A HAM..NORMALLY THE DAY AFTER BAKING THE HAM SHE WOULD DICE SOME UP, GRATE HER OWN POTATOES, MAKE A CHEESE SAUCE, AND IT WOULD COME OUT OF THE OVEN SO BUBBLY AND BROWN. IT WAS ALWAYS GOOD.

I HAVE MADE IT FOR YEARS BUT I MADE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE FASTER AND EASIER FOR THOSE NIGHTS WHEN TIME IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!

HAM AND POTATO CASSEROLE WITH CORN AND APPLES SAUCE.



I TOOK SOME HELP FROM THE STORE TO HURRY THIS MEAL UP. I GOT JULIENNE POTATOES, PRE DICED HAM, AND I AM USING THE LEFT OVER ONIONS I BOUGHT THE OTHER DAY.


MIX HAM, POTATOES, AND ONIONS IN CASSEROLE DISH. WE ALWAYS HAVE TO USE 2 BOXES OF THE POTATO MIX AND 2 PACKAGES OF HAM. 1 IS NEVER ENOUGH FOR THE FAMILY! BAKE AS DIRECTED ON THE BOX TILL ITS ALL BUBBLY AND BROWN. ABOUT 35 MINUTES OR SO.


LET COOL FOR A FEW MINUTES AND SERVE. RIGHT BEFORE IT IS READY TO COME OUT OF THE OVEN I SPRINKLE MORE CHEESE ON TOP.


I HAD TO FIX MYSELF A BITE BEFORE THEY ALL GOT HOME. IT WAS GETTING LATE AND I WAS STARVING!


I SERVED IT UP WITH CORN AND APPLE SAUCE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE PICTURE BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY SITTING DOWN TO EAT WHEN I REALIZED I DIDN'T TAKE A FINAL PICTURE. SO I GRABBED MY PHONE AND SNAPPED A PICTURE. IT DIDN'T COME OUT TOO GOOD! 
AND...
ONCE AGAIN...PAPER PLATES.. AT THIS POINT ALL THE PLATES ARE PACKED!
