Wednesday Hodgepodge!

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy.

1. The month of July was named for Roman Emperor Julius Caesar. He's quoted as saying, 'Experience is the teacher of all things." So what has experience taught you lately?

Wow. what a quote. It couldn't be more right. For me, I think with age life gets better. Not that everything is roses and rainbows around my house...really far from it but with each passing day, I feel more myself. I feel more confident in my beliefs, decisions and values. All of which was not the case in my 20's or even in my early 30's. And still I am learning so much along the way. :)

2. Where did you last 'roam'?

We live in SC and we just roamed over the past weekend to Green River to go tubing. It wasn't a long drive...about 45 minutes and we were floating down the river.

It was the perfect way to end the week. If you want to see more about it, check out this vlog!

3. Speaking of 'Rome'...pizza, pasta, gelato...you can only pick one, which would you choose?

I'm a pasta girl all the way. And just in case you didn't know you can make a ton of meals from pasta but did you know you can make a pasta dessert too?  YEP! Just google it and you will find a ton of recipes! I could live on pasta the rest of my life.

4. 'Rome wasn't built in a day', 'All roads lead to Rome', 'When in Rome...' which 'Roman' idiom have you most recently encountered? Explain.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Its pretty much the same as it didn't get broke over night and it won't be fixed over night. In my life there have been little things that pop up that I can fix in a blink of an eye. It takes time.

5. What's a movie you've seen or a book you've read, that makes you want to book a trip to Italy?

6.  Walt's original Disneyland opened almost sixty years ago, on July 17, 1955  Have you ever been to the California park? How about any of the other Disney parks around the world? What's your favorite amusement park ride or attraction?

I haven't been to the park in Calfornia but I have been to the Florida park. Honestly amusement parks are just not my thing. I will of course go for the kids but yea...not my thing. Ride wise, I would pick the tea cups!

7. It's that time of year...when were you last bitten or stung?

I stepped on a bee in the yard last summer and it totally took my breath away. I pretty much fell in the yard and it took a while for the pain to go away. It was awful. I learned my lesson and wear shoes at all times outside now.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

For some reason I keep falling to sleep sooner and getting up earlier. I don't know what is going on with me but I would love a day where I could sleep till 11am again. However, here lately I have been waking up super early. I don't really mind because I do accomplish more but I hate going to sleep so early. Idk but I sure want to snuggle up in bed and stay there! Scott is home today so there is no telling what we are going to get into but I hope you all have a beautiful and blessed day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
