Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge.. hope you enjoy!
1. April 22nd is Earth Day. Are you inspired by nature? In what way?
I live in the beautiful Carolinas and I am surrounded by mountains. I am so inspired to get out and enjoy the fresh air more..I am always inspired when spring pops up and new flowers are blooming, bunnies are being born, birds are chirping again and it inspires me in every way. I want to garden more, grill out, have coffee on the porch. I am always taken by the beauty of our planet.
2. Down to earth, four corners of the earth, move heaven and earth, not have an earthly chance, or salt of the earth...which earthly idiom have you most recently encountered? Explain.
Down to Earth. I vlog everyday. I record day in the life videos and the most common comment I get is - How down to earth and real I am. I don't know any other way to be. I feel like our lives is a lot like yours. There are good days, bad days, and all kinds of days/nights in between. I feel like if we share our stories with each other.. we can all learn from each other.
3. Share one piece of advice you might give a newly engaged couple.
Communication is everything. I have a ton married life posts including the difference between a boyfriend and a husband....and yes, there is a difference. But I would tell them to always talk things through. Don't make big decisions about anything without discussing it first. Be open and honest and you will find the perfect balance.
4. When did you last engage someone to perform a job, task, service, home repair, or improvement? On a scale of 1-10 (ten being the best) how would you rate their work and/or your satisfaction with the job or service provided?
Wow. To be honest it would have to be a big fat
We had a lady come to clean our house. I hate to even say how bad it was but yea.. she wasn't allowed to come back. She stole stuff, used my expensive perfume as air freshener and bleached a cream downs blanket leaving big bleach patches all over it. If I could have, I would threw her butt in jail.
5. When did you last find yourself engaged in small talk? Are you awkward or an expert or somewhere in between?
I try to go along with small talk. Listening to others is key in keeping friendships so I don't think it is too much to ask for you to be polite. If its just getting the best of you.. find a reason to take a break!
6. What was the last historic place you visited?
I visited a this big family farm a couple towns over a while back and they are really a piece of history. They have been farming on that land since the early 1900's and want to carry on their work for many many more generations. I hope that counts! It was so beautiful there. The produce was amazing and soon I will do a tour to show you guys how beautiful this old farm is.
7. The world would be a better place if we just LOCKED UP OUR SCHOOLS SO OUR KIDS CAN GET A EDUCATION WITHOUT WORRYING THEY ARE GOING TO GET SHOT OR STABBED.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Today is a GOOD DAY! My mom and Don are flying in and then my sister gets in on Friday!
Its going to be so much fun having them here with me. This trip was pretty unexpected but somehow we all managed to pull it off where we could be together for a few days. We skipped Easter dinner this year and decided we would wait to have our non traditional Easter dinner this coming Saturday. And guess what else is happening this Saturday!?
Its Scott's Birthday!
So we are going to be celebrating extra hard Saturday for the birthday boy too! Its going to be such a fun time! :)
I hope you guys have a wonderful Wednesday! I sure miss the hodgepodge last week.. Glad its back!
Hope you have a wonderful time with your family! There's just nothing better than having those you love dearly with you, is there? I know what you mean about #7. Seems like every time I turn on the TV, there's been another school shooting.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about blogging is the peek into someones everyday. There is a certain sense of comfort in seeing people live and love and deal with pretty much all the same things. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Enjoy time with your family! We're all separated by miles too, so those times we are together we make the most of.
ReplyDeleteLove your family pics! But yikes on the house cleaner. Good lesson to us all to really check out references and then watch closely anyway! Too bad you had that unhappy experience. I'd still try again though. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely to have wonderful visitors and a birthday dinner in the mix. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteeek on the house cleaner!!
