1. Since these questions are posting on the first day of April it seems only right to ask-when was the last time you did something foolish? If you can't answer that one, try this one-when was the last time someone fooled you?

Gosh.. that's an easy one. I have an 11 year old little boy who loves xbox. So one day last week, he asked me for my debit card so he could buy something to do with one of his games. I handed it over with the simple rule to only get the one $4.99. The next day was Saturday and I started getting these emails from the bank. My card was being used A LOT and they wanted to know if I was doing it. HELL NO. And they froze my account. When I finally got Jackson to admit to doing it, he said he stopped because it wouldn't let him charge it anymore. And he thought it wasn't stealing because it was " family " money. So he fooled me good with that one. My ex husband had a fun time letting me know dumb that move was. So needless to say, the kids won't be getting my credit card again. No way Jose.
2. What's the last biography or non-fiction book you've read? Was it any good?
This was the last biography I read. I tend to read a lot of these types of books. It was rather long but I loved the history lessons throughout the book.
Very well written and has some very lovely photographs too. I can't wait to go around an see what other biographies you all have been reading for new book ideas!
Total friend in my house! We love it and pretty much eat it every thing. One of my most favorite ways to enjoy it, is to simply roast it. I have shown this in many cooking videos over the years but its super simple. Cut the tops off the fresh garlic heads. Wrap it mostly up with alumin foil and drizzle with olive oil, add some salt and pepper and I like rosemary. Seal it up the rest of the way and put it in a very hot oven.. 425-450 for about 25 minutes or so. You'll be able to smell it roasting and it changes the strong garlic into a sweet savory flavor that is amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing on warm bread. I think I am going to have to do a video sometime soon showing exactly how to make it. Its so good!!
4. Several Spring flower festivals happen in the US during the month of April. Of those listed, which would you most like to see in person...The Skagit Tulip Festival in Skagit Washington, The Dogwood Arts Festival in Knoxville Tennessee, The North Carolina Azalea Festival in Wilmington North Carolina or the Daffodil Festival Weekend on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts?
I would have to pick the Daffodil Festival on Nantucket Island. Daffodils are such happy flowers and I have not visited Nantucket Island before!
5. How do you choose which blogs to read? What is something that will make you stop and read every time? Something that makes you say, 'eh, think I'll skip this one and move on to the next'?
A good title helps. But I am a loyal reader. Normally, once I find a blog or even youtuber who I like, I normally stick with them. I often read comments on other blogs and find new ones that way too. Plus when I do find a blog I love, I always check out their sidebars to see who if anyone Sponsor them. Blog hops such as this one are also great ways to find new blogs. A lot of times I do skip blog with black backgrounds because they hurt my eyes but for the most part, when I find a blog I like, I stick around!
6. April is National Mathematics Education Month so tell us, when did you last use math?
I suck at math. I mean really suck at it. But Jackson has 5th grade math homework almost every night. Its hard as hell and I can't do it. Scott does the math but I did balance the check book yesterday after paying bills!
7. In honor of the A-Z challenge kicking off on April 1...choose one word beginning with the letter A to describe your yesterday.
Aching. I wrecked my car last Wednesday and my entire freaking body hurts. It was a horrible wreck and I broke 3 ribs and messed up my wrist along with many many other aches and pains from all the cuts and bruises. :(
8. Insert your own random thought here.

Your son was really cute in todays video where he helped you with the dinner and you were very clever with guiding him. I hope you are feeling better each day. Love from Norway.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I'm so sorry you had a wreck and were hurt. Hope your healing will be fast.
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
Wow-I am sure that was super scary! I'm so glad you weren't seriously injured, and hope you're feeling much better now. I'm a little slow getting round to the HP participants this week.
