Wednesday Hodgepodge!

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

Happy Wednesday Friends! It's time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy!

1. What is something you'll never forget about the age you are right now?

Balance. I would say my late 30's would have to be trying to figure out the right balance on everything from parenting, working on YT and my blog, my temper, all of it.. My 20's were just crazy but as I get older.. life seems to be getting better!

2. What's a household chore you've never done? How have you managed that???

I can't think of one. Being a stay at home wife and mother, I think I have done it all. I don't really have the luxury of picking and choosing the chores. Husby works outside the house, and I work inside. The chores are always mine and usually waiting on me!

3. Does nature shape our personalities more than nurture? Explain?

I don't think one shapes it more than the other. Its probably more like a little bit of both plus genetics. I believe the majority of our personality's  are formed before we ever come to earth. But the outside world and our upbringing has a lot to do with it too in my opinion.

4. Friday (February 28th) is 'Something on a Stick Day'...funny because Zoanna over at A Penchant for Pens recently sent me an idea for a question relating to this topic. What's your favorite food eaten on a stick?

I like kebabs a lot. I think they are a lot of fun to have your guests help make and I think they are great for little sandwiches and cubes of cheese for an afternoon brunch. I just think they are festive!

5. Which of your five senses do you treasure most, and why?

Sight. I think I would be ok not hearing or smelling.. or any of the others except for sight. I am kinda claustrophobic as it is and I think it would feel like being trapped not being able to see. I am so thankful for good eyes.

6. What's the best music, theater, or sporting venue you've been to? What made it great?

Yankee Stadium was pretty cool! Scott and I along with some friends went to a couple games when we lived in New York. Bet many of you didn't know that we lived in New York for 8 months did ya! And let me tell you, the baseball stadiums are not what they use to be. There was 5 star restaurants and such there. I was in total shock!

7. It's the last week of the month...in five words or less bid adieu to your February.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

I am up late tonight.. again so this is going live before I go to bed. I hope you all are having a wonderful morning and getting on good with your day. I have a lot on the schedule today so I can't let myself sleep too late. I am so crazy consistent spring days. I am exhausted watching it be nice only for the next week to be freezing cold. Wanna know what our electric bill was for last month?  $728.00. Yep, you read that right. Now our house is all electric and its a rather big house but that is so outrageous. I am going to go broke if winter continues. Anyway, time for bed. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. I can't wait to be rid of the cold weather either. I keep looking at the forecast, and it isn't leaving yet though.

  2. Wow...that's a HUGE electric bill! I can't even imagine! Ours was pretty high this winter, but nowhere close to that. I love kabobs...wish I'd thought of that! We eat a lot of them in the summer.

  5. I just paid a similar electric bill! Scary, and I can't help but think of people who just can't afford heat. Stadiums are definitely not what they used to be, but then neither are the prices : ) Crazy expensive to go to a Yankees game now! Enjoy your day...freezing cold here, with snow in the forecast for next week so winter is not done with us yet.
