Wednesday Hodgepodge!

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy!

1. What was your biggest worry five years ago?  Is it still a worry?

I can't think of any huge worries of the past. Normal stuff...kids, husband, pets, house, bills.... They all give me worries at different times! And yes, I still worry about the same things!

2. Yesterday (October 15th) was National Grouch Day...what makes you grouchy? What cheers you up when you're feeling grouchy?

Most of the time, I am grumpy in the mornings. More sleep would help but I don't really think I will ever be one of those people who jump out of the bed at 7am happy. Nope.. never. I

3.  In one word, how does it feel to be photographed?

Normal → I've been blogging for a while and I also have 2 youtube channels. My Glamorous French Housewife Life Channel and my Glam Gossip Channel for my daily vlogs so it does not seem so weird for me to take a picture or video. I video live in a lot of places including stores and just don't notice others watching anymore. But for the longest time, I hated taking pictures. But I'm use to it now! I kinda have the attitude of: this is my face...deal with it!

4. Besides your parents, who would you say had the greatest influence on you in choosing your life path?  Explain.

My husband has had ta huge influence of my life as a stay at home wife and mother. Lets face it.. 1. It's not always easy living on just 1 income. 2. If anything happened, I would have to go back to work to support the kids. None of the kids really believe that I would go to work because I have been at home almost 8 years now. But if it wasn't for my husband going to work day in and day out, I would be able to enjoy my time at home.

5. The crisp days of autumn are here ...what's something you like to eat, but only if it's crisp?

Fall brings so many wonderful foods and meals. I think I like cozy meals like Beef Stew, Potato soup, but I also like all things apple in fall too! I like pumpkin but not in huge amounts. Have you checked out my latest fall sweet treat?? → Fall Pear and Raspberry Tart ← Its super yummy and perfect for fall!

6. What's the most useless object you own

I had to really think about this one.... I am sure we have many but the most useless would have to be the sewing machines. I really wish I sewed but I just could never read a pattern. I never took sewing in school... and even though my grandmother sewed all the time, I can barely put a button back on! I have made curtains before but yea.. the sewing machine really stays dusty!

7.  Share a favorite fall memory.

Just this past weekend we had a wonderful time at the Pumpkin Patch. If you want, check out my Vlogtober Pumpkin Pickin' Video to see the patch... it was a wonderful Sunday afternoon! We had some fall family time that I really really enjoyed! It was just a few hours of spending time together which I think our family really needed. It was a wonderful day!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Husby is off work today.. so we are going to do some shopping together, and then go to the post office and who knows what the rest of the day holds. I hope for a easy and fun day with lots of smiles and laughs! I also hope my little Jackson is having a good day at school. Yesterday he was pretty grumpy and his teachers sent me an email. I have to admit, technology has many many good points.. including communication between teacher and parent. It sure makes things easier! Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day!

  1. Hello... I just posted the link to my hodgepodge answers and thought I'd check in with a few other bloggers. I was a stay-at-home wife and mother too and I'm so thankful that my hubby was able to provide a safe, secure home for our 3 daughters as they grew up.

I enjoyed your answers and hope you're having a wonderful day.
