Wednesday Hodgepodge

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From This Side of the Pond ....this is always such a fun linkup.. join in anytime! Hope you enjoy.

1. Share one way you think the world has changed for the better since you were a kid?

Wow.. Well of course there is all the social media which does do a lot of good for our world.. but I would really have to say that most all of the technology has made the world a better place. Now I do believe that its nice to go back to basics but we are evolving so much and I think its a great thing.

2. How 'bout one way it's changed for the worse?

Well, there are so many silly laws that should be gone that have made things worse. I also think gun laws have made our world worse too. My husband has a lot of guns and while he likes them, I don't. There are too many kids dying.. there are too many crimes happening.. and I think getting the guns would be a big step in making it stop. I say, get caught with a gun.. get a life sentence. But they don't allow me to make the rules! Also I think if you are caught drinking and driving.. loose your car forever. A lot of people seem to have went nuts in our world without thinking of the consequences of their actions.

3. Starlight, starfish, starling, Starbucks...your favorite 'star'?

I do love the beautiful stars in the sky.. but my favorite would have to be...

I like my coffee too much!

4. Name a song that's overplayed, but you love it anyway?

5. When did you last have home made ice cream? Your latest favorite flavor?

6. What do you think is the best way to inspire or motivate people?

I think its almost next to impossible to inspire people any more. I have no idea how in the hell to inspire anyone at this point. Most people seem to be inspired and motivated by envy and greed. I think probably the best way to inspire someone is to just live the best life you can and maybe it will rub off. 

7.  When was the last time you were without power?

In this house we are without power a lot. We basically live in a tropical rain forest here in South Carolina and the weather is always knocking out our power. But a few years ago we lost power after a bad storm for 12 days. It was crazy. But we made it through it and I actually think the time with no tv.. no internet.. no lights.. made us a better family and helped us get to bed earlier!

I am getting ready to head out and do some shopping with Jackson. I am so happy he is home. I couldn't ask for a better son. He makes me smile 1000 times a day. Hopefully we won't get rained on but its coming.. so we got to get going and get back! Dinner out with husby tonight.. and no big plans except spending time together as a family.
