What do you think makes a good dad?

Oh wow.. what a hard question! First I should point out that my dads dad was my father. My dad lived close and came to visit.. he was always around but he really isn't my dad. For me, I guess I would think a father who puts their children above their own wants and needs is what makes a good dad. Not being selfish with their time is important to me. I know many dads work and come home tired.. just like my husband Scott but when you have children, they don't understand dad being tired and grumpy. They just want his time. So for me, a dad that is loving, loyal and thinks more of their children than themselves is what makes a good dad.

What's something you learned from your own father?

Love Quotes for Him I still remember everything you said meaningful quotes
Loyalty above all. He was very big into family and wanted nothing more than to make us all happy. I am thankful for all the lessons from my grandfather. He was very good to me and I hold every memory.. and everything he said to me close to my heart.

It's your birthday-what kind of cake will we be having?

Ha! I love grand cakes so something like this maybe...

Beautiful Cake Pictures: Elegant Cakes, Cupcakes

I love chocolate too!

When you're faced with a big decision are you more of a go with your gut type of person, or are you someone who reasons it all out, weighing the pros and cons?

Actually I do both. Most of the time I go off of what I am feeling inside but going off of emotions only is never good.. but normally after I calm down I try to weigh out the pros and cons. But honestly.. I am not so good with thinking big decisions out...so normally I run everything by my husband, my mom and my best friends because they always help in every way they can.

June is National Dairy Month. what's your favorite dairy item? Most often purchased dairy item?

I would have to say milk. I like cheese a lot but milk would have to be my pick!

Explorer Jacques Cousteau was born on June 11, 1910...what's something you've recently discovered or something you'd like to explore?

The WORLD. I would love to travel and explore the world..

Are you typical of your generation?

In many yes.. My generation loves social media.. as do I. I feel like I am typical in lots of ways but I am a stay at home wife and mother at 37 years old and really thats not at all typical of my generation!

Insert your own random thought here.

Its not a good day at all.

This kitten that was born a couple days ago wasn't doing good... Willow was not producing milk so I was up all night bottle feeding him every 2 hours. He was fine today. I left and went to the store.. got home and he was fine. I put him next to his mom while I went to prepare his food and came back to a dead kitten. I think Willow smothered him by laying on top him on accident. To be very very honest, I am fighting back tears. I have NEVER lost an entire litter. 4 kittens passed away this week and my heart is broke and I am truly sad. I just talked to my husband on the phone and I couldn't keep it together. I started crying.. and he's telling me.. God needs kittens too but that does not help me in any way right now. No it doesn't. I know a cat breeder, such as myself...should not be shocked when something like this happens but its not easy at all. I am devastated..the end. Too many what if's and maybes and absolutely no answers can drive a person insane. That's where I am at right now. Tomorrow will be hopefully be better.

  1. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about the kittens. Just because you breed them doesn't mean you can't feel sad about the loss of kittens. It shows you care about them. I hope you feel better soon.
