Happy Wednesday.. Time for another round of questions from Joyce over at From This Side of the Pond!!
Enjoy!
1.
This week marks the beginning of Lent...will you be giving something up or
adding anything to your life during this season of the year?
No. I grew up Catholic and I did that for years. However now that I am my own adult, I choose to not really follow the rules and actions of the church anymore. Its not a disrespect type of thing.. I just am more spiritual than religious and I don't think that God cares one bit about you giving something up for Lent. I think he cares about your heart.. and if you are a good person. I think we all get hung up on the little details but in the end I don't think they matter one bit.
2.
The day before Lent is Shrove Tuesday...tradition states you eat pancakes on
this day. In some parts of the world Shrove Tuesday is actually known as
'pancake day'. How do you like your
pancakes? Or don't you?
I love pancakes!
I like them in many ways.. topped with fruit and bananas.. sometimes I like chocolate chips and whipped cream.. and I love powdered sugar over them too!
3.
I'm sure there are many, but what is one love song you really love?
I aboustly loved this song from Rihanna that she sang at the 2013 Grammys..
I think its amazing.. and I love it.
Also this song by train is
pretty much husby and my song. Love.. Love. Love..
4.
What are some things you do to let others know you love them?
In our family we say " I love you " all the time. We hug and kiss all the time. I don't want my family to go one day without knowing how much they mean to me. We leave love notes all the time around the house. We work hard to show our love and devotion to each other on a daily basis.
5.
Roses...red, pink, or some other color?
Can you recall the last time someone gave you flowers? Given your choice would you like to open the
door and see a dozen red roses, a dozen purple tulips, or a dozen pink peonies?
Husby is always bringing home flowers. I love fresh flowers. For me I would have to say Pink Roses are my favorite even though I love all roses. I like lillys a lot too. All fresh flowers are beautiful!
6.
President's Day will be celebrated next Monday. Does Presidential history and trivia
interest you? Many Presidential homes
are open to the public and offer guided tours...Monticello (Jefferson's home),
Mount Vernon (Washington's home), Montpelier (James Madison's home), Hyde Park
(FD Roosevelt's home) and The White House (home to the sitting President), to
name just a few. Of those listed, which
would you be most interested in touring?
Why?
I am very interested in politics. I always have been. And I have been to all the places listed above. I have been to Washington DC 3 times and we are wanting the little kids to get a little older then we plan on spending a week there sometime and take in all the history has to offer. Washington DC is an amazing place and I enjoy it so much!
7.
Are you good at keeping secrets?
Not so good at keeping them from my husband. I can normally keep a secret as long as I can tell him! =) When it comes to keeping secrets for husby I can totally do it. But I tend to share everything with him.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I am still stuck on this Jodi Arais trial. Its so consuming. What is going to happen with this woman?? Will she get convicted of murdering her boyfriend and get the death penalty?? Will they find her innocent?? IDK.. but she is kinda likeable. She has been on the stand for 6 days now and she still has not got to the day she killed him. ENOUGH ALREADY.. TELL US WHAT HAPPENED!!!
xoxo
Happy Wednesday!
