Mom Talks.. Talk.. Talk.. Talk..

I don't consider myself an expert parent by any means but I have been doing this for over 10 years now and I think I keep getting better along with wiser when it comes to kids. Not just my kids but kids in general. Well, my latest delima is my sweet Jackson not ever being quiet. I know that it sounds horrible for me not to want to hear the sweet voice of my youngest son but my ears are wore out. It doesn't seem like a day goes by without me telling Jackson that my ears are hurting and I would like a little silence around the house.

As I sit back and think about it.. I must be a fool because I know there are so many parents out there who will never hear their child say a word. Maybe I am wrong for wanting to button Jackson's mouth shut daily but its the facts.. I am talked out!

I love him so much but I am in desperate need of a - ear break -. I guess I should take it as a compliment that he has a million questions and wants me to answer them for him. I should also be thankful that we have such a good dialog that we can talk about anything and everything. I do want that to last forever. But.. I could use a little break! Is that bad??

I am hoping I am not seriously damaging my son by telling him that " mommy's ears needs a break ". I think he understands but I struggle with this issue because I listen non stop to him almost the entire day and I think the break does us both good but I think he just shuts up and starts piling up his next list of questions/comments to come back later and ask!

So I think I better stop the complaining and be grateful for the talking son I do have. Do you struggle with this in your house?? How do you deal with it!? I think it takes a total village to raise 1 child and I could use some  help with this one. I have talked to a few friends about this and what I get from them is..

Whatever works

I think we all love our children with every fiber in our bodies. I know I do.. and the sound of their little giggles are the sweetest but I am so talked out right now. I would love to hear how any of you guys deal with a talkative child.. any and all suggestions would be great!

Can't wait to have more of a conversation about this topic!

Have a great weekend!
