Directions
Open bottom compartment and remove sponge. Sweep sponge lightly across makeup.
Blend to a smooth finish.
I normally don't use these kinds of foundations. I find that I like a more sheer dewy finish but for some reason, I had to try this.
This one is in # 02 - Tender Peach - and is the lightest one from the line and I think it looks a bit more dark in the pan rather than on the skin... which made me a little nervous when buying it.
As you can see..
The sponge applicator is in a separate compartment.. and its just one of those standard thin sponges that usually work well with this kind of foundation. This is a nice, convenient compact - good for the handbag or travel..
As you can see its pretty creamy but when applied I find
it mostly matte. You can see up around my knuckles where there is no make up, so you can tell the type of coverage this gives.
Its a more heavy coverage foundation but it is workable into the skin to prevent that mask type of look. I have to admit, I like the coverage. When I wear it, it almost seems like wearing concealer all over my face. I have experimented with this in lots of ways. Always cover your ears and neck if its not an exact color mask otherwise it will look strange. I have wore this alone.. and used both the sponge and a brush. I find that a sponge puts a lot of product on your face.. and works great if you are in hurry but if you want a more even look, buffing it in with a brush works best. I am not a big fan of matte foundations because I have dry skin. So what works best for me.. is using this foundation under a moisturizer, then using just a drop or so of a more dewy foundation on my cheek area and blending it in with the exact same buffing brush. I really do like the coverage but I like the look of a more sheer foundation. When I used both, I had an amazing coverage with a dewy look.
I really don't mind this foundation. If you are wearing this alone.. there is no need to powder either unless you are really oily. This product has enough powder in it where powdering will just make it look cakey. I would even use a cream blush and bonzer instead of powder ones with this kind of foundation too.
Over all I am giving this product a
B
because it preforms well. Very very easy to use, you can use a sponge, foundation or stippling brush, for the amount of coverage you want. It's about medium and can be built up, and covers redness and light scars easily. Looks natural on the skin, but covers everything up well. Has a natural finish, not dewy, but not matte. The lasting power is good for normal-dry skin, but for oily I think you'll have to reapply after a few hours.
I am rather impressed!
I do plan on doing a video for this one soon.. When I get it up, I will be sure to add it to this post!
