Monday.. [ should have stayed in bed ]

Hello everyone. My day has been far from planned or even expected!! I woke up.. a little earlier than I thought I would.. and the house was pretty cold. I couldn't get the fireplace going so I went to turn on the heat on the wall.. and it wouldn't work. I'll be dammed if I didn't forget to pay the gas bill. I have a terrible habit of putting the mail in my floor board and sometimes I miss bills.. It wasn't even a high bill.. $ 45.00.. So I had to get cleaned up, run to the gas co. to pay it.. and then run a few more errands. I went to walmart, the dealership, the gas station.. ohhh and there my car wouldn't shift right. Had to call husby to come help. Its a funny thing when you part on a hill in my car. It doesn't want to switch gears when sitting in that position. Then after that.. I was coming home.. noticed my trunk was open and stopped, got out, and closed it and headed home. During that ride, I couldn't find my phone. I got home.. got all the bags out of the car, and still couldn't find my phone. I took back off to town.. mind you its 20 minutes one way. I thought maybe it was in my car and I couldn't see it or maybe I had it on my lap and dropped it when I got out to close the trunk. I was panicked. I went by the spot where I got out of my car.. no phone.. so then I went back to the dealership and got Scott's phone. No one answered it and I couldn't hear it ring. I drove home.. 20 miles AGAIN.. and this time, my car acted up.. scared me.. I pulled over and got stuck in a freaking ditch.. Yep.. that's my day. I called husby again and while I was waiting for him, I managed to get the car out of the dtich, and home. I need a cattalic converter or something like that. They have the part at the dealership and just waiting on me to bring the car in. I got in the house.. kept calling my phone.. I couldn't hear it and then went out to the garage to check and listen for it to ring.. NOTHING. Then I let the dog out, stand in the front yard and kept calling my phone. I started faintly hearing it.. Guess where it was. THE MAILBOX.. I had opened my door slightly to get in the box from the car and it had must have fallen off my lap at that point. OMG.. I was relieved. That blackberry is not a cheap phone, and it has a ton of information on it that I don't want to loose. It is all backed up but still.. it would be horrible to loose that phone.

Sooooo.. now that so many things have gone wrong today, my ass is planted  in the house for the rest of the night. I am not about to go out. I had a black cat walk in front of me the other night..maybe this was the result of it. Monday's are usually a good day for me but today, not so much!

While I was out, I bought a lot of

of the supplies for the home made gifts.

I found these chocolates on sale for $ 2.00 each at ingles!! The rest of the stuff I picked up at ingles.

I also bought a ton of candy canes for the peppermint hot chocolate and peppermint bark.

Since I want to get started on things I went ahead and got them ready. It kinda helped take things off my mind from today..

I got out my little food processor and

because I thought it would work great to

chop them up.

it worked great!

I did this for 6 boxes.

So at least that's done!

Now I am pondering what we are having for dinner. I think fish.. but who knows.. with husby working late some nights he doesn't even want dinner. So we will see.. I think I am going to get started on making some of the sugar scrubs. I will take pictures!
