2010 HALLOWEEN GINGERBREAD HOUSE!!

Monday, October 25, 2010

I FINALLY GOT THE GINGER BREAD HOUSE DONE...I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR A COUPLE DAYS. I DIDNT WANT TO SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE I WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT CAME OUT RIGHT BEFORE SAYING ANYTHING OR POSTING ANY PICTURES..

I USED A KIT I GOT FROM WALMART BUT I DIDNT USE ANY OF THE DECORATIONS THAT CAME WITH IT. LAST YEAR I DID BUT THIS TIME I WANTED IT TO BE MORE ORIGINAL. SO HERE IS HOW I DID IT..

HERE IT IS!!! I CANT KNOW THIS PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE TOP BUT I WANTED THAT TO BE SEPARATE BECAUSE I LOVE IT!!  ITS PRETTY EASY TO TELL WHAT I USED..JUST LOTS AND LOTS OF CANDY!!

SCOTT HELPED ENGINEER THE CHIMNEY..GENIUS!!

GOLDEN GRAMS MAKES FOR A GREAT SHINGLED ROOF LOOK. I USED LICORICE AND NON PARPAREILS FOR SIDING, CANDY CORN FOR STONE WORK AND ANDES MINTS FOR WINDOW SHUTTERS..I USED PEPPERMINT PATTIES TO CREATE A FENCE, ALONG WITH SOME CUTE PUMPKINS FOR DECOR.

I TRIED TO NOT USE ANY EXPENSIVE CANDY BEING WE WILL NOT BE EATING THIS. THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT CANDIES YOU CAN USE...YOU JUST HAVE TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION!

I LOVE THIS VIEW..I THINK MY FAVORITE PART IS THE ROOF..I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED SHINGLED ROOFS BUT I LOVE THE PATH WAY TOO!!!!

I DIDNT DO AS MUCH ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE THIS YEAR LIKE I DID LAST YEAR. I THOUGHT I WOULD FOCUS MORE ON ON YARD AREA AND THE ROOF..THAT DAMN ROOF TOOK A LOT OF TIME AND PATIENCE! I WAS MUNCHING GOLDEN GRAMS ALL ALONG THE WAY!!

I ALSO OPTED OUT OF THE GRAVES IN THE YARD THIS TIME TOO. LAST TIME I HAD SOME PEOPLE I DIDNT LIKE ON THEM BUT THIS YEAR I ALSO DECIDED TO BE A LITTLE MORE KIND..EVEN THOUGH A LOT OF PEOPLE LOVED THE GRAVES WITH NAMES!!

ANYWAY, I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!

I GUESS IT WILL JUST SIT AROUND AND BE PART OF OUR FALL DECORATION!!
