Its National Water week. I find this pretty important. I think we all should have clean water. Its amazing that there are still places not only in other countries but also here in the United States too.
Water is a precious resource. Projections from many experts point to the fact that demand on water resources will continue only to increase at a fast pace in the coming decades with the Africa, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Asia being the most affected. Pretty sad.
Here at home we can do lots to cut down on our water absorb. Just brushing our teeth we use about 7.5 liters of water. And then a 5 minute shower is about 30 liters of water. And really who takes a 5 minute shower. I think we all take for granted the fact that most of us has clean water and probably don't even take a second to think about where it comes from or what would happen if we no longer could get clean water. We should all try to reduce excessive use of water. You can simply do this by fixing any leaking facets or toilets that are running all the time, and turning off the water when we brush our teeth.
So just wanted to take a minute to remind us of how lucky we all are to have clean water. We should all be thankful. And instead of taking it for granted we should conserve so when our great grandchildren are running around this planet they have clean water too.
