I have been a ton of questions about couponing.. so many at times its not easy to email back to everyone. So from now on I am adding a little information at the beginning of each weeks steals and deals. And it will just be easier to refer them to this page. =) I still have more to add but hopefully this will help some of you out a little bit. These coupon notes are not just for beauty deals..its for all couponing!
Coupon Notes
There are a ton of places you can find coupons. But most importantly get EVERY ONE OF YOUR SUNDAY PAPERS..I try to remind you on facebook and sometimes on twitter to get your papers!!
Heres a full run down of where I hunt coupons down at..
Sunday newspaper – Coupon inserts (RP, SS, P&G, and occasionally bonus inserts depending on your area of the country: Parade Magazine, USA Weekly, General Mills, Target). Every week I let you know what coupons are in the Sunday paper..and if you see a lot of coupons you think you will use, buy more than one paper!
Internet: printable coupons – There are a vast array of printable coupons – on printable coupon sites and manufacturer’s sites. Here are my favorite sites: RedPlum, SmartSource, Coupons.com, and Cool Savings.
Coupon mailers from unsolicited companies or from a manufacturer with whom you have signed up in the mail or online.
In magazines – in particular, All You Magazine! All You Magazine is our favorite and is always jam-packed with manufacturer’s coupons! You can purchase this magazine at Walmart locations or by subscription only. Check out the coupons that were in the most recent issue here.
Inside products or on the box of a product ( I find a ton in cat food boxes and also powered Tide boxes )
Loaded to your savings card, if available, or to your cell phone - check out my app video to see some cool android coupon apps. If you have a iphone, the ones I show are avilable to you too. Not sure about blackberrys!
Coupon trains – Circulate and swap coupons, through the mail or in person, with family and friends. I really don't do this often.. just when I use my kids and husbands accts to get more freebies or coupons.. that might be coupon cheating.. but owell!!
Store Weekly Circular
Catalina/CAT - coupon on back of store receipt or printed after receipt
Blinkie or Tear Pad – coupon from a small blinkie machine or pad – typically near the relevant product
Peelie – coupon on product itself
To build up your coupon stash, buy or get duplicate Sunday newspapers from friends and checkout the Internet for printable coupons. Some of my favorite websites for Internet coupons: RedPlum, SmartSource, Coupons.com, and Cool Savings. Check them out!
All of us should ask yourself this question before clipping a coupon: Will my family use the product? Don’t save the coupon if you answer NO.
Coupon organizers can be simple & economical: A standard white envelope or a homemade coupon box with index cards as dividers. A popular method and my favorite: A three-ring binder with divider pages for categories. You can check out my video here to see my system. A lot of times, I make out my grocery list on a large white envelope and put the clipped coupons inside. It works great for me!
You can arrange your coupons alphabetically, by category, or keep your coupons unclipped and file by date of the ad circular...which is how I do it. The only downside to the “ad circular” method is that you won’t have all your coupons on hand to snag unadvertised deals or clearance bargains.. so if I am going to be out doing a lot of shopping, I just put them in a 2 sided folder and take it along.. and I always have small scissors in my purse..
MOST IMPORTANTLY.. You have to be a planner to really save. Menu plan and coupon hunt. I do save most with the beauty items.. I guess thats because I love make up so much! But on average I save $25- 45 on my weekly grocery and household shopping. I always have coupons for pet food, paper towels, and other household stuff. Groceries I still am working on saving more.. but I am getting there! JUST TAKE YOUR TIME AND PLAN THINGS OUT!!
I try to post as many coupon deals and freebies as I can.. You will see in the right side bar my most recent post and you can always see the coupon post by clicking on the label Couponing and it will bring them all up for you.. Same goes with the Freebies.

Most of the steals are using coupons from past Sunday papers. I hope you have been keeping them. Again, check out my coupon video to see what works best for me on how to organize them.

I SHOP AT CVS A LOT NOW THAT I HAVE MOVED. THIS IS THE CLOSEST STORE TO ME..WHAT MAKES IT GREAT IS THE REWARDS PROGRAM! THEY OFFER THE EXTRA CARE PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS YOU TO EARN EXTRA BUCKS WITH EACH PURCHASE. THE EXTRA CARE BUCKS PRINT OUT ON YOUR RECEIPT. THERE IS ALSO A RED BOX IN THE STORE THAT YOU CAN SCAN YOUR CARD TO SEE YOUR REWARDS..ITS ALSO IMPORTANT THAT YOU SCAN EACH TIME YOU GO IN SO YOU CAN GET EVEN MORE COUPONS. IF YOU DO GET A COUPON FROM THE BOX REMEMBER ITS A STORE COUPON AND IT CAN BE USED WITH A MANUFACTURERS COUPON...ALSO THEY JUST STARTED A BEAUTY PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SAVE EVEN MORE!
WALGREENS
WALGREENS DOES NOT REALLY HAVE A REWARD PROGRAM BUT THEY HAVE REGISTER REWARDS PROGRAM. WITH THIS PROGRAM THEY GIVE OUT COUPONS ON THE RECEIPT AND THEY ARE VERY GOOD COUPONS. WALGREENS ALSO GIVES OUT A COUPON BOOK MONTHLY WITH TONS OF STORE COUPONS IN IT. THEN YOU CAN USE IT WITH ONE OF THE MANUFACTURERS COUPONS AND YOU REALLY REALLY SAVE! ANOTHER THING ABOUT WALGREENS IS ITS THE ONLY DRUG STORE THAT I KNOW OF WITH A ACTUAL BEAUTY COUNTER. ITS SUPER SUPER IMPORTANT TO GET TO KNOW THE GIRLS BEHIND THE COUNTER..MAKE GOOD FRIENDS WITH THEM. YOU WILL GET MORE DISCOUNTS, COUPONS CUT FOR YOU, PERSONAL HELP, AND MOST LIKELY A VERY GOOD FRIEND. I CANT TELL EXPRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS.
RITE AID
I AM KINDA NEW TO RITE AID. I NEVER NORMALLY SHOPPED AT RITE AID BUT I HAVE ONE CLOSE AND STARTED USING IT MORE. I JUST SIGNED UP FOR THE WELLNESS PROGRAM. THERE ARE TONS OF ADVANTAGES FOR HAVING ONE OF THESE CARDS. THEY ALSO PRINT OUT COUPONS ON THE RECEIPT THAT CAN BE USED WITH THE MANUFACTURES COUPONS.
MOST OF THESE STORES RUN THEIR WEEKLY SALES FROM SUNDAY TO SATURDAY.HOWEVER THERE ARE A FEW WEBSITES THAT PUT OUT THE SALE PAPER SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCE.
I THINK THIS IS PRETTY IMPORTANT WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO BUY. YOU CAN CHECK THESE SITES, FIGURE OUT WHAT ONLINE COUPONS YOU CAN FIND AND ALSO FIGURE OUT WHAT MANUFACTURES COUPONS YOU ALREADY HAVE.

YOU CAN ALSO FIND BEAUTY COUPONS IN MAGAZINES. ALLURE HAS SOME AND ALSO ALL YOU IS A GOOD SOURCE FOR COUPONS.

THIS IS THE SITE FOR JANE MAKE UP. I DONT USE A LOT OF IT BUT I DO LIKE A FEW OF THEIR SHADOWS . THEY HAVE GREAT PRICES ON THEIR SITE TOO.
